Brad's Surgery

Brad finally went in and had sinus surgery on Tuesday, he's needed to do this for years and finally bit the bullet and had it done, he's feeling better than expected which is a huge bonus!  I was worried because he gets motion sick and that apparently is a big predictor on how you will react to anesthesia, so they took every precaution, shot him up with anti-nausea medication and didn't use any gas, they put him out with drugs in his IV.  When they wheeled him out after surgery he said "I feel fantastic".  Of course the good stuff wore off and he didn't feel so great that night!  But he is on the mend and he goes in tomorrow for a check.

Ok this is so cute, she was talking up a storm last night, that is of course until the camera came out.  But this is what we got, so cute!

Grandpa and the Birmingham Zoo

Saturday we took a trip down to Birmingham to visit Grandpa Hatch and take Emerson to the zoo.  Grandpa Hatch is down visiting a friend of his, so it was nice to be able to see him.  It was a great little day trip.  We thought that Emerson would do great on the drive because of all the driving we did in Colorado, but on the way home she had enough of being in her seat.  I don't know that a road trip of any length is in our future.  Here are a couple of photos from our day.

Great Trip to Colorado

We finally made it back from our trip to Colorado, Emerson was a great little traveler and charmed everyone she came in contact with.  We saw a lot of people that I haven't seen in years and had a really nice Easter with my family.

What a cold wet day for and Easter Egg hunt, but Emerson's cousin Keihlin found some eggs for her, and they were prize eggs, what a nice kid.

First Plane Ride and Celebrity Sighting

We travelled to Colorado yesterday to spend Easter with my family, Emerson and Brad both did wonderful on the plane rides (Brad doesn't fly well).  Emerson was a total dream she slept through most of both flights, but the fun little tidbit is we saw Felicity Huffman at the Denver airport and she was sitting at our same gate, I really wanted to talk to her but she was giving off the I'm really tired and want to be alone vibe.  She ended up sitting right in front of us on the plane, well gutless me didn't talk to her or get a picture or anything so I could totally be lying about this, I might as well say I saw Brad Pitt, he high fived me, but my camera jammed and that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
