Avery and Bailey Visit

We've been so thrilled that Avery and Bailey have been able to come out for a visit this summer, hopefully we will keep them busy and entertained!  We went to Chattanooga TN over the weekend and visited the Incline Railway and the Tennessee Aquarium, and Lake Winnie.  I made the girls stop and pose for every photo op I could find, they were so good, they just took it in stride and smiled.

At the top of the incline railway, before we went down the mountain

Overlooking it all

On our way down the mountain, it was a full car so we opted to sit on the stairs on the train

Excited to go into the aquarium

Wow look at that

At Lake Winnie, that kid in the green shirt right behind me puked on this ride as well as the little girl by the lady in orange.  I couldn't get off this ride fast enough!

Playin' Possum!

Ok this is funny!  Brad was in and out last night and he came in and said he saw a baby possum crawl under my car, so I said Let's catch it!  He of course thought I was a total dork, I grabbed a flashlight and went and looked under my car and I saw the tail end of the little guy head toward our flower bed (otherwise known as the weed garden).  Eventually after making Brad grab a more powerful flashlight and my work gloves I caught the little guy, he really was kind of cute.  So of course I made Brad run inside and grab the camera, the little guy wasn't thrilled about the whole thing, but he didn't try to bite me or anything.  Took a couple pictures and let him go, and then he did the playing possum thing, he just slumped on the ground, after nudging him a couple times he took off.  Anyone that knows me, knows that I can't leave nature alone, if I think I can catch it without it biting me I will.

I just wore the gloves as a safety measure, I had no idea if he would bite me or not, he didn't

After I let him go, when he just slumped over.

2 New Events This Week

Emerson has done 2 very exciting things this week, the first, she can now pull herself to standing on her own.  Our little baby is growing up!  The second, she went to the pool for the first time today!  She loved it!

My Little Dust Mop

Emerson is now 'crawling' at least her own little version of the crawl.  It's so fun to watch her, now she can get into all sorts of things!
